Up for sale is an old school vintage racing Jeep . The motor is a Buick 231 with a Turbo 400 Automatic transmission . The front clip(fenders ,hood ,grille,and cowl section) is a tilt nose from a Willys Wagon or Pickup truck .Its all steel not fiberglass. Front clip is molded to a custom built rear cj type tub . Full cage ,fuel cell ,sway bars ,dual shocks,power steering,axle trusses ,reinforced axle tubes ,and tie rods .Formula Desert Dog tires ,and Paddle tires and rims . Lots of custom work done on this jeep when it was built .Was built and driven years ago in Ellington CT by Mels Auto body ,and was always a contender bringing home lots of first place trophy’s.Jeep has been in storage ,but starts right up and runs strong . Brakes will need some work and Im sure there will be things that need to make it up to date for current racing specifications .You will be hard pressed to find as good a start or to build a custom racing jeep for the asking price on this one.Very unique with the Willys front clip.With some work and freshening up this would be a great racer for hill climbs ,sand drags ,short tracks ,or ice racing etc etc .Feel free to email ,text or call with questions or requests for specific pics.Needs to go to a good home ,no time and too many projects right now.
